Softban Changes from Craigslist
Many of you
(if you are active CL marketers) are probably aware by
now that CL has been working overtime to softban dynamic DSL,
Dialup, and cable IP addresses. They are getting more aggressive
in their efforts to dissuade marketers from using their site.
This means that PVAs will be required to post
ads no matter how you slice it. They have a new trick now when
you go to post without an established account. They let you
think everything is fine until you go to finalize the ad. At
that point they inform you that you need a Phone Verified
Account to make the ad live. This is good news if you know how
to make PVAs!
Competition will decrease in the short term as
marketers get discouraged and leave CL for so called greener
pastures. They are making a huge mistake. Now is the time to
market on CL if there ever was one!!!
CL is very canny on some levels, but seem to
have lost sight of why they are in business in the first place.
Some have asked, "Why have a classifieds site if you are not
going to let anyone post?" - That's a fair question
isn't it?
Apparently CL's philosophy and business model
does not include business owners. (marketers) They want to cater
to private individuals and keep the community "pure" from
outsiders.
We should all hope (CL included) they never
achieve such a goal. Here's why:
1. Craigslist would be very boring. (pedestrian
users usually post substandard content)
2. Craigslist would be less dynamic and diverse.
Marketers have helped build Craigslist!!! Without professional
ads and services CL would not have been as "sticky" and brought
people back through the years.
3. Marketers have given CL a more professional
edge. Visitors can always look forward to finding offers well
presented and targeted to their needs.
4. Marketers bring unique offers and great deals
to the classifieds table that local users could never bring.
As they continue to softban IP addresses some
marketers will give up, most will adapt, and new innovative
marketers will thrive. This is good news for you if you know how
to make good durable PVAs!!!
PVA Changes
from Craigslist
Many established PVA accounts have now been
rendered useless or dead. Craigslist has been deactivating these
accounts.
It seems that Craigslist has gotten hold of the
phone number sequences of some bulk phone number suppliers and
deactivated phone verified accounts associated with them.
This means that bulk phone number supplies
should not be used anymore. With our method you will not have to
worry about this latest change from CL. Our customers will not
have to worry either since all phone verified accounts made by
us are on random numbers in random area codes.
It is getting more difficult to create CL PVAs
and keep them alive with the methods used by most PVA creators.
Craigslist is very canny to techniques used to create PVAs and
is moving to shut such operations down as fast as they can.
Our method has never used bulk phone numbers and
is effective 100% of the time.
This new move to shut down PVA accounts means
booming business. We are backlogged on orders for the next 2
weeks and are still getting more orders. We are trying to scale
up at this time to fulfill more orders in the future.
Recent
Changes at Craigslist Regarding DSL IP Soft Bans and Phone
Verified Accounts
In their relentless quest to shut down marketers
Craigslist has now soft banned most DSL IP addresses. This move
means that all posters to CL will have to use Phone Verified
Accounts (PVAs) to post in all categories.
Our sources have indicated that the IP addresses
most effected are in the major cities in the US. Craigslist
started on the north east coast and is now moving it's soft ban
to the west. It remains unclear which carriers are affected. The
major DSL ISPs seem to be the casualties thus far. Smaller ISPs
do not seem to have their IP's soft banned as of yet.
Also imminent is the soft banning of Canadian
DSL IP's. We do not know if Canadian IP's have been affected yet
by the new Craigslist counter-marketing measures.
Whether or not Craigslist will continue this
practice is not known. Will they eventually soft ban all DSL
IP's? Judging by the past CL will definitely soft ban all DSL
IP's. It is just a matter of time.
Phone Verified Accounts are increasingly
becoming the only viable solution to defeat CL soft bans now and
in the future.

Verified Accounts Info
Currently Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts are
the only real solution to posting ads en mass. As Craigslist
affiliate marketers ourselves we are very sensitive to all
changes at CL just as you probably are.
Yes, we know you can make elite proxies with
clean IP addresses, but the cost can be prohibitive. (about $2
per month per proxy) Also these proxies can and will be soft
banned (a phone verified account will be required) by Craigslist
eventually. If you post over 1 ad per day per proxy you are in
danger of the soft ban.
We have spent countless hours experimenting with
elite and shared proxies and here's what we have found:

When purchasing your VPS hosting account for
elite proxies you can never tell if the proxies you create
on these IP's are going to work. Most IP's have already been
"abused" by other marketers on CL. Therefore this is a
gamble and sometimes your IP's will be worthless requiring
Phone Verified Accounts anyways.

Shared proxies are almost always known to
Craigslist and have the soft ban on them. When you do find
proxies you can post with on CL without using PVA's their clear
status is fleeting because someone else is most likely using
them as well.

Many services online offering proxies have very slow
run times or latencies.
There is much to consider when experimenting with
different marketing methods. In our opinion Craigslist Phone Verified
Accounts are the best option for serious marketers.
Yes, you will still need good proxies if you are going
to market on CL, but good PVA's will be necessary as well.
What do we mean by
"good PVA's"?
Not all phone verified accounts are created equal.
Premium accounts will require the following attributes:

They must be made in the USA for your customers
posting in the US.

They must be made using random area codes in the US.

They must be made using random IP addresses on different
C classes.

They must be made from different areas of the US. (you will
not want to make all of your PVA's from say Houston IP's)

They must be made using relatively clean IP addresses that have
not been abused excessively.
With these attributes the life span of the Phone Verified
Account will last as long as the account is not abused. At present posters can
only safely use an account once per 36-48 hours. Craigslist is seemingly
capricious and arbitrary when it comes to placing accounts on hold, but the
above attributes will ensure maximum durability.
Without an inexpensive or satisfactory method for making PVA's the marketer will
bleed much of his/her profits away.
Only Once Per 36-48 Hours?
Yes, we do not say this just to sell more PVA's. Craigslist has
placed affiliate marketers in their crosshairs and is doing everything they can
to drive them off. (especially the more prolific posters)
Our aim is to stay a step ahead of Craigslist bots and staff.
This is a cat-and-mouse game. Well made Phone Verified Accounts will give you
the marketing edge you need and keep you one step ahead of the CL "police" and
the competition.
As internet marketers who leverage the power of Craigslist we
must always be flexible and ready to adjust to new changes. It was not long ago
you could post up to 5 ads a day per Phone Verified Account. Those days are now
gone.
Craigslist will continue in the fight, and we must be canny and
prepared for any eventuality. CL cannot conceivably shut us down for good. They
can however make life more difficult.
We don't know what CL's next move will be, but we know they will
probably come up with something to try to dissuade affiliate marketers in the
near future.
